Sprint & AT&T getting HTC One M8 for Windows
So if you’re a Sprint customer you know your choices of windows phone are slim. To be honest both choices suck.
That’s all about to change as windows phone, Microsoft, and HTC are being the HTC One M8 for Windows to Sprint says a inside source. Also AT&T is supposedly also getting the device.
This looks similar to the roll out of the Android version where Verizon got the device as a exclusive on launch days and others got it a week or two later.
Sorry T-MOBILE customers more M8 for Windows live for you. At least not yet……..
HTC M8 for Windows Launches new top dog?
The HTC M8 for windows is official on verizon and well, if you know or used the HTC One M8 android then you know the new M8 windows. Beyond the new UI they are exactly the same down to blinkfeed.
Our only disappointment here is the M8 for windows will be questioned just as the android version for its Camera.
In every way the new M8 for windows is the most high spec windows phone to date coming with windows 8.1.1 and a premium build.
But that camera may have people over look it for the Icon from Nokia.
The M8 for windows is still a beast of a device (sadly a Microsoft exclusive) and reasonably priced. Those looking for the best build quality from android but a windows phone experience now have that option.
My question is how long will it be till an RUU or bootloader flashable file is made to convert the HTC One M8 android to One M8 Windows…… And could the One M8 be another HD2? We will soon find out.

Sprint Launches Best Deal in Data….. Yeah Right.
Sprint’s new CEO made waves when they were talking about new plans that would be very low and make everyone think before choosing another carrier….. Yeah about that.
So Sprint is releasing some new plans, And they have, But look making statements like “We’re going to make everyone think before choosing someone else” Is a big statement and I would not have led with this plan, Just my opinion. Sprint launches a new Family Share plan that allows you to have 10 lines for only $100.00 (Through 2015 then it will ADD 15.00 per line or 150.00 if you have 10) Sounds like a good deal on its face. 20GB of data with 2GB per line extra. So possibly 40GB of data on the whole account.
BUT HERE IS THE CATCH, You have to port your number in from someone else to be eligible for the discount…. Not a good move in my opinion.
And Sprint if you wanted to offer something compelling, You should have made the data Unlimited, I am sorry but people only go to sprint if at all now because of the Unlimited Data.
This is actually worse than the framily plan in my opinion for the loss of unlimited data.

Now look I am a NEW sprint customer, I moved my business lines from Verizon to Sprint last week, So far things have been good, Either on par or better than Verizon in places.
I think If sprint wanted to make a splash here they should have led with the $50.00 Unlimited Everything plan, And or launch the 10 Lines 100.00 promotion but make the data unlimited. That would have surely made people think.
But sprint trying to do what AT&T and Verizon do at a lower cost is just not a good look, And in fact this should embarrass the new CEO and Corporate Staff that has come in.
Sprint fans and staff will say this is a big splash…. But if you want people to think you are serious about change….. Like T-Mobile was. Then this sadly is not it.
I still have hope that the new plans you announce this week for unlimited users are good, But leading with this plan set….. Is a fail.

What is a PRL and what it does:
PRL=(Preferred Roaming List)
The PRL is a list of information that resides in the memory of some kinds of digital phones. It lists the radio frequencies the phone can use in various geographic areas.
The part of the list for each area is ordered by the bands the phone should try to use first. Therefore it’s a kind of priority list for which towers the phone should use.
The PRL helps determine which home-network towers to use, and also which towers belonging to other networks to use in roaming situations (areas where the home network
has no coverage.) When roaming, the PRL may instruct the phone to use the network with the best roaming rate for the carrier, rather than the one with the strongest signal at the moment.
Since a PRL tells the phone “where” to search for a signal, as carrier networks change over time, an updated PRL may be required for a phone to “see” all of the coverage that it should,
both with the home network and for roaming.

HTC One Max M8 aka M8 Prime leaks
So it looks as if the successor to the HTC ONE MAX is on the way.
Last year HTC Released what looked like the HTC One Mini all blown up with a fingerprint scanner and called it the max.
This years model looks exactly like the HTC One M8 and drops that ineffective fingerprint scanner as well. This device looks like the HTC One M8 in every way. But there are some differences and this is why people are calling it the HTC One M8 Prime…… SPECS.
So according to sources the device will have the Snapdragon 805 not the 801 of the HTC One M8. The device will retain the MAX namesake.
No info on when the device will be launched. The test device in the photos looks pretty close to final product in my opinion. This could also just be a test device to see if there would be a demand for such a beast.
In my particular case I would take it in a heart beat, A better spec M8 with a 5.9 Inch display? Count me in.

UPDATE** Softbank makes ridiculous offer for T-Mobile CEO

WSJ reports Sprint to name Claure as CEO. Claure is the founder of wireless company Brightstar, and joined Sprint’s board back in January.
News broke today via the WSJ that the deal for T-Mobile wouldn’t happen.
We also learn that Dan Hesse time as the captain of the ship over at Sprint is also over as he will be stepping down.
The crazy news of the day is TMobile customers may still end up being mad as hell. As Softbank has reportedly made a ridiculous offer for the maverick T-Mobile CEO.
(There is also a shocking replacement if that would fall through)
Nothing specific was stated from the source who is a well known investor and holder of Sprint.
But the source stated quote “They are definitely willing to overpay, This guy is Jack Welch of our time”
Pretty strong words. Stay tuned as we will update this story the moment we get more info. And more info is coming tonight after a board phone call.

Thanks to Evan ‘@Evleaks’ Blass tech fans have gotten an early look at some high-profile smartphones and tablets, usually months before they’re officially announced.
Now, after two years of tweets, the tech journalist turned full-time leak artist has announced he’s giving it up.
Evan Blass, who earned a reputation for putting out legit leaks, says he’s quitting because leaking photos and spec sheets on Twitter had proved near impossible to monetise.
He told The Next Web he had tried sponsored tweets, accepted donations and pushing folks towards his website, but found users had little incentive to visit after seeing his pics on Twitter and across the web.
Retirement
So, as a result, Evleaks, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a decade ago, is Retiring.
