What is a PRL and what it does:

PRL=(Preferred Roaming List)

The PRL is a list of information that resides in the memory of some kinds of digital phones. It lists the radio frequencies the phone can use in various geographic areas.

The part of the list for each area is ordered by the bands the phone should try to use first. Therefore it’s a kind of priority list for which towers the phone should use.

The PRL helps determine which home-network towers to use, and also which towers belonging to other networks to use in roaming situations (areas where the home network
has no coverage.) When roaming, the PRL may instruct the phone to use the network with the best roaming rate for the carrier, rather than the one with the strongest signal at the moment.

Since a PRL tells the phone “where” to search for a signal, as carrier networks change over time, an updated PRL may be required for a phone to “see” all of the coverage that it should,
both with the home network and for roaming.

HTC One Max M8 aka M8 Prime leaks

So it looks as if the successor to the HTC ONE MAX is on the way.

Last year HTC Released what looked like the HTC One Mini all blown up with a fingerprint scanner and called it the max.

This years model looks exactly like the HTC One M8 and drops that ineffective fingerprint scanner as well. This device looks like the HTC One M8 in every way. But there are some differences and this is why people are calling it the HTC One M8 Prime…… SPECS.

So according to sources the device will have the Snapdragon 805 not the 801 of the HTC One M8. The device will retain the MAX namesake.

No info on when the device will be launched. The test device in the photos looks pretty close to final product in my opinion. This could also just be a test device to see if there would be a demand for such a beast.

In my particular case I would take it in a heart beat, A better spec M8 with a 5.9 Inch display? Count me in.

Verizon internal document shows existing customers about to be screwed

In the above video we talk about a leak we just released concerning Verizon.

In the leaked documents we can see that starting next week that Verizon will make data plans mandatory on ANY PHONE. Let me say that again ANY PHONE, That means flip phones, and feature phones.

Further It states they may coerce customers to change their plan by offering them features and products that they most likely won’t use ANYWAY.

This could also be the end for some unlimited data users plans as well. This could be in response to the FCC asking for more details on their proposed throttling. (My advise is contact them and let them know you will leave if they touch your plan) (Another note, If you want to leave most Verizon phones <smartphones> from the last two years are compatible with T-Mobile)

This looks like another BS move by Verizon to get more money out of existing customers.

Don’t get me wrong Verizon is not dumb, They know they have 1 maybe 2 years of this price gouging left, If they let T-Mobile catch up that long, Most likely you’re looking at a year tops. So Verizon is trying to get everything it can at this point.

$1199 iPhone 6 price WOW.

Looks like other rumors may be true, We have heard that the 5.5 inch iphone 6 may be more premium than the 4.7 inch model slated to launch in about a month.

But $1200? That looks to be the number. This is for the top memory top specs model. Most likely this new iphone 6 air-5.5-phablet may come with a 128gb option.

Either way that is quite a lot for a phone. Would you pay $1200 for a 5.5 inch 128gb iphone? Let me know in the comments here and on Youtube.

Other rumors state that the device may also not even come with a 16gb option. And that a 32gb Model could go for 899 off contract.

I know a lot of people won’t believe this, But did you believe the first iphone was going to be 600 on contract?…………….. Exactly.

Now, after two years of tweets, the tech journalist turned full-time leak artist has announced he’s giving it up.

Evan Blass, who earned a reputation for putting out legit leaks, says he’s quitting because leaking photos and spec sheets on Twitter had proved near impossible to monetise.
He told The Next Web he had tried sponsored tweets, accepted donations and pushing folks towards his website, but found users had little incentive to visit after seeing his pics on Twitter and across the web.

So, as a result, Evleaks, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a decade ago, is Retiring.
I call on all in this Tech Community who have used images from @EVLEAKS and or used his content for the last to years to build your tech sites and give us all something to write about to get the word out.

After watching MKBHD put a knife and keys to it, I’m interested to see how this would hold up to a TechSmartt test.

Sprint Bends customers over…. again. Welcome to tiered data plans

Yup. I said it… Somone break out TAPS. Sprint if they go forward with the plans on the west coast they are testing are DEAD, Bankrupt, finished, over, I can go on and on. I really thought this was bullshit when we were tipped on this. But official internal documents show its legit……

So what’s the deal. See the images below for the proposed data plans that Sprint is testing right now in Portland Oregon, Las Vegas, and a few other west coast cities.

But for now I guess we need to buy a plot because sprints about to get buried.
